My Dad, My Hero

There is an extremely special bond between a little girl and her dad. Those that are not privy to this bond can not even begin to imagine what it is like. However, those of us that share in this dad-daughter bond know how indescribable and strong this bond is. A friend of mine explained to me what happened to him the moment his little girl was born. He stated that in an instant, his view of women completely transformed. Women were now sacred wonders of the universe to be cherished.

From a daughter perspective, her daddy is her hero. No other daddy or man can ever compare. As far as any little girl is concerned, her dad broke the mold. This feeling follows little girls as they become women. This is exactly how I feel about my dad today. He is the greatest man on earth. No man can ever compare. He is strong and tough, kind and compassionate, loyal and honest. A man of true integrity that has never once strayed from the family or his obligations to the family. The ever protector and provider, strong as an ox with a sensitive heart of gold. Yes, he truly broke the mold.

I love you, Daddy. Happy Father’s Day!

    Hi Tula!

Thanks for sharing that story. It reminds me of a song by Holly Dunn. “Daddy’s Hands”.
